Here are some test cases for URL extraction:

1. Visit our main site at https://example.com or our blog at http://blog.example.com.
2. Secure access is available at https://secure.example.com/login?user=abc&id=123#dashboard.
3. Some URLs are tricky: like https://example.com/path(with)parens or with equals: https://foo.com?a=1==2.
4. Don't forget localhost testing: http://127.0.0.1:8000 or http://localhost:3000/admin.
5. IP-based URLs work too: https://192.168.0.100/settings.
6. Email addresses like john.doe@example.com shouldn't be mistaken as URLs.
7. File access: file:///Users/tony/Documents/test.pdf.
8. FTP should also be caught: ftp://ftp.example.com/download.zip.
9. Some URLs are inside markdown: [Link](https://markdown.example.com/test?utm=tracker).
10. Even data URIs like data:text/html;base64,PGgxPkhlbGxvPC9oMT4= might appear in code.
11. Weird ones: https://example.com///multiple/slashes or http://example.com/!@#crazy-path.
12. Text with www: Check www.nigeriatech.org or just a bare domain like africoders.com.

Random gibberish: lorem://ipsum?dolor=sit&amet=consectetur. That’s not a real protocol!
